Studio FAQ

Is there a dress code?

We like to focus on what's really important at the studio - having fun while learning to dance. For that reason, we don't enforce a need to wear specific dance attire during class, but we do ask for a few rules to be followed:

  • Hair needs to be pulled back into a ponytail.
  • Stretchy clothes needed - no jeans please!
  • Clothes should not be too loose or baggy (we don't want them in the way!). No hoodies or baggy pants for class.
  • All necessary items should be LABELED before being brought to class (dance shoes, kneepads, water bottle, etc.).

Do you have boys at your studio?

Of course - dance is for everyone!

Where can we purchase the required shoes?

We have a consignment spot at the studio (see Debbie), you can place an order through TNT for new shoes (need to get a form), or you can go to www.discountdance.com and enter our studio code TP103002 to see the shoe requirements and purchase them through there. ALWAYS double check sizing prior to ordering, dance shoes are FICKLE. ;)

Do you do competitions?

While we take many performance trips (every other year) and do many community performances, we no longer attend dance competitions. Instead, we encourage our dancers treat each other as well as any other dancer with kindness and respect. We encourage our girls (and boys) to build each other up versus knocking them down.
